Rural voices in STEM are underrepresented due to a lack of educational access and support. UW's registered student organization, Wyomingites in Math, Science, and Engineering is fighting to change that.
We are made up of a diverse group of students interested in everything from medical science, aerospace engineering, data technology, computational development, and more. These professionals will go on to support the research and development, energy, health, and technology sectors of our economy.
Our club provides Wyomingites in STEM with mentorship, networking and professional development opportunities, and financial resources. This support helps rural students succeed in careers where their voices are sorely needed.
Your gift on Giving Day would help bridge our small towns with international STEM innovation and ensure that rural voices are heard on that global stage. More specifically, your gift is crucial to our clubās mission of financially supporting undergraduates and graduates alike to enhance their research opportunities as well as progressing professional development. Our previous Giving Day support has directly allowed us to provide over 15 awards totaling over $4,000 to young STEM professionals.
We greatly appreciate your support and thoughtful consideration to support Wyomingites in Math, Science, and Engineering and allowing us to nourish the rural STEM voices.
*This Student Organization receives a de minimus level of base support from the University as noted in full in the About section of the Tier 2 Student Organization campaign tile.
