The University of Wyoming Department of Geology and Geophysics is dedicated to helping students gain hands-on field and research experiences. These opportunities are central to a geoscience education, allowing students to apply classroom learning to real-world problems across Wyoming and beyond. And as our students and alumni can attest, fieldwork can be some of the most rewarding, challenging, but fun experiences in our students’ education.

We invite alumni, friends, and supporters to help our students seize the day in the field by funding fieldwork, fieldtrips, and research. Your gift will directly support travel, lodging, lab and field supplies, and analytical costs for undergraduate and graduate students.
