Cowboy Robotics, a student-led engineering and physical sciences club at the University of Wyoming, is working toward our goal of building a rover to compete in the University Rover Competition. This robotics competition, put on by the Mars Society, challenges teams to design and build a rover to explore Mars.
Much like a professional engineering project, Cowboy Robotics is organized into mechanical, electrical, software, and science teams, each led by upper-level undergraduate students. Each team contributes an important piece of the roverās design and development, giving students across our college the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to a hands-on project.
To complete this project, we rely on funding for parts and shop time. Every contribution goes directly towards the progression of the rover. Your support not only helps us complete the rover but also provides members of Cowboy Robotics with practical experience and team collaboration.
Thank you for supporting Cowboy Robotics in our mission to compete at the University Rover Competition!
*This Student Organization receives a de minimus level of base support from the University as noted in full in the About section of the Tier 2 Student Organization campaign tile.
