The Society of Petroleum Engineers is one of the most important professional organizations in the oil and gas industry. It is a "big tent" organization that connects professionals throughout the oil and gas industry, including landmen, investment bankers, and renewable energy, to deliver cutting-edge solutions to our energy challenges. As such, it also hosts a number of conferences that are great opportunities for University of Wyoming students to network with other professionals in the industry, present their research, and in many cases interview for positions on the spot.
The University of Wyoming SPE Chapter is asking for your help to raise $25,000 for three things.
- Send 10 students to the SPE Hydraulic Fracturing Technology Conference and Exhibition in The Woodlands, Texas, next February. We can do this for $10,000 and give 10 students that opportunity to learn about the latest technology in this field and network with the professionals behind it.
- Send 10 students to the SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE) in October. We can do this for $10,000 and give 10 students the opportunity to learn, network, and potentially interview for internships and jobs at the world's premier oil and gas conference.
- Bring some of these great experiences back to campus! We can't send every student to every conference, but for $5,000 we can bring some of the experts who we meet at these conferences to meet with all our students and enrich the academic environment for everyone.
We hope to raise $25,000 so we can do these three things, but we really appreciate any support you can provide. We thank you for investing in our chapter and our members' futures!

This Student Organization receives a de minimus level of base support from the university as noted in full in the About section of the Tier 2 Student Organization campaign tile.
