The John Burman Student Bar Association—formerly the Potter Law Club and John Burman Student Government—is the student government organization of the University of Wyoming College of Law. We serve as the voice of the student body and work to build community through meaningful events and traditions that enrich the law school experience.
Each year, we coordinate Law Week, bringing in speakers on timely and important topics in partnership with the law school's other student organizations. We also host the Trelease Dinner, a celebrated tradition highlighting the field of water law with distinguished guest speakers. In the spring, we put on Law Ball, an evening of food, dancing, and general camaraderie that is our version of prom for law students. These events not only provide opportunities for professional growth but also foster the friendships and memories that last long beyond graduation.
Your generous contributions make it possible for us to continue these traditions and to ensure they grow stronger each year. With your support, we can enhance student life, bring in speakers who inspire, and create lasting connections within our law school community. Thank you for helping us honor the legacy of John Burman and enrich the experiences of Wyomingās future lawyers!
*This Student Organization receives a de minimus level of base support from the University as noted in full in the About section of the Tier 2 Student Organization campaign tile.
