Support WINDās Inclusive Post-Secondary Education students in Connecting Pokes @ 7220!
Inclusive Post-Secondary Education (IPSE) refers to the college program for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. There are over 350 such programs across the country, but until this year, Wyoming was the only state without an IPSE program. This is no longer the case!
In spring 2025, the Wyoming Institute for Disabilities launched a pilot program with a single student who is now participating in the development of a two-year non-degree-seeking program. Our goal is to enroll 4-6 new students by Fall, 2026, with new cohorts annually. Modeled after similar Think College programs, students in the Wyoming program, Connecting Pokes @ 7220, will participate in four core learning domains with peer support as needed. These include inclusive courses, specialized courses, jobs and internships, and social activities on campus.
The Wyoming Institute for Disabilities is excited to make this opportunity a reality for students and families in Wyoming. Your support will go directly to Connecting Pokes @ 7220 students. Thank you!
