SparkTank is where students lead and communities thrive. Make a direct impact on local nonprofits by supporting the University of Wyoming’s SparkTank Initiative.
Each year, UW’s Ethics Club and Sales Seminar students host SparkTank, a Shark Tank-style event that channels funding to Albany County nonprofits that provide essential services such as food, shelter, safety, clothing, and health care.
Since its inception in 2018, SparkTank has awarded $743,000 to local organizations—empowering students to evaluate proposals, raise funds, and invest in the heart of our community.
And the results speak for themselves. According to UW’s Center for Business and Economic Analysis, SparkTank’s investments have generated the following:
- $3.2 million in total economic output
- $1.4 million in value added to local GDP
- $1.1 million in increased labor income
- 30 new jobs created
Your support fuels more than funding—it cultivates the next generation of ethical leaders and strengthens the economic and social fabric of Albany County.
Please consider making a charitable gift to SparkTank 2026. Thank you for helping us make a lasting difference!
