Fuel the Makers – From Pizza to Prototypes
The University of Wyoming Innovation Network (UWIN) Makerspaces are home to a vibrant community of creators, coders, builders, and dreamers. From robotics to 3D printing to tabletop gaming, our spaces provide students with the tools to innovate and the community to belong.
But here’s the challenge: our university budget cannot be used to purchase meals or prepared food, nor does it cover travel for professional development for student staff. That means pizza for a late-night build, sub sandwiches for a showcase, or staff trips to learn from other innovative makerspaces are only possible through donor support and grants.
This Giving Day, we invite you to help us “Fuel the Makers – from Pizza to Prototypes.” Your gift supports the meals, snacks, and experiences that power our programs—the Innovation Series featuring Pokebot, Coe Creators, Level Up Lounge, Celebrate & Create, Maker Match Night, Dome Club, and Dome After Dark—and helps our staff grow through professional development fieldtrips at places like Rocky Mountain RepRap Festival, Meow Wolf, and regional makerspace networks.
Food and professional learning might seem simple, but together they transform experiences. They keep students and staff energized, connected, and inspired to bring new skills and creative ideas back to campus. With your support, you’ll literally feed creativity one slice at a time while helping our makers grow their craft.
Thank you for making UW’s makerspaces a place where every student and mentor feels welcome, supported, and empowered to thrive.
