Join us this Giving Day in supporting the Program in Ecology and Evolution (PiEE)—the largest Ph.D. program at the University of Wyoming and a leader in interdisciplinary ecological research and training.
Your gift today helps fund summer dissertation research for our graduate students, a vital period when students conduct fieldwork, analyze data, and advance innovative science. This support allows students to fully dedicate themselves to their research without financial barriers.
Since its founding in 2005 by five visionary faculty across three departments, PiEE has grown into a thriving interdepartmental program with 60+ current Ph.D. students, 80+ alumni, and 45+ faculty and affiliates. Our students have gone on to impactful careers in research universities, teaching institutions, government agencies, consulting, and international organizations. Their work addresses pressing environmental challenges across Wyoming and around the globe.
Weāre especially proud that PiEE students have earned five University of Wyoming Outstanding Dissertation Awards—highlighting the caliber of scholarship in our program.
This Giving Day, we're aiming to rally as many donors as possible—every gift, no matter the size, gets us closer to our goal and strengthens the future of ecological science.
Your support directly empowers our students, fuels scientific discovery, and sustains a program that has been growing and thriving in the high plains of Laramie for 20 years.
Make your impact today—support PiEE and help train the next generation of ecological leaders!
