For over a century, the Department of Zoology and Physiology has been a leader in education, research, and service across Wyoming and beyond. From training future physicians through foundational medical education to advancing wildlife conservation and protecting ecosystem health, our work is deeply woven into the fabric of the state and beyond.

For 112 years, we’ve taken pride in the breadth and depth of our programs. Few departments span such a wide range—from molecules to mountains, from lab bench to field site. At the heart of it all is our commitment to students. Our graduates leave with the skills, confidence, and experience to thrive in careers across science, health, and conservation.
