The Department of Botany at the University of Wyoming invites you to support the Williams Conservatory, a living resource where students, faculty, and the community come together around a shared joy of plants.
Across Wyoming, community members are asking for more opportunities to grow and use native plants in their landscaping. The conservatory is answering that call by supporting student and Botany Club projects such as conservation-focused native plant sales while also serving as a space where the community connects through workshops, events, and outreach. At the same time, the conservatory gives students in Wyoming—where short growing seasons and extreme climates limit exposure to plant diversity—the chance to study plants from around the world. These active-learning experiences prepare them for careers in ecology, restoration, agriculture, horticulture, and beyond—fields where understanding plant diversity is essential.
Your gift will do the following.
- Empower students to lead native plant sales that serve Wyoming communities.
- Provide access to global living plant diversity that strengthens career preparation.
- Expand hands-on education and outreach opportunities.
Join us this Giving Day to help the Williams Conservatory expand opportunities for using native plants in Wyoming landscapes and to inspire the next generation of leaders in plant biology and beyond.
