Challenges are a great way to show your support. Be the first!
Right now, Wyoming’s big game animals are giving it their all to get to winter range, and you can give them a boost! These are long, tough migrations, intersected by obstacles that the Wyoming Migration Initiative and many university and agency partners have been working hard to understand.
So far, Wyoming has mapped more corridors than any other state in the West. In the process, the Wyoming Migration Initiative has played a major role in helping educate citizens about migration research and provided a successful model for science-based conservation. Wyoming is now leading the way in developing smart strategies to conserve migration corridors. It is a great start, but there is more work to do.
This is where you can help. Your gift supports our GPS collar studies, films, and maps to advance the understanding and conservation of migration corridors. We're grateful for gifts of any size because they all help continue our work documenting Wyoming's spectacular migrations. And on UW Giving Day, your donation may be eligible for generous matching funds from the UW Foundation, multiplying your impact. Note that these matching funds are limited and first-come first-serve, so if you're considering a gift, time is of the essence!
Many thanks, and happy UW Giving Day 2020!
