The Wyoming Institute for Disabilities, or WIND, is building upon its 25-year reputation of addressing the needs of individuals with disabilities and their families across the state.
As a University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, WIND conducts research and provides community services and education to enhance the lives of people with disabilities.
- Education – Through the disability studies minor program, WIND offers educational opportunities to UW students from wide-ranging disciplines.
- Community Training – WIND provides training and technical assistance on specific topics to professionals, families, and individuals with disabilities.
- Services – WIND brings services to Wyoming communities for the benefit of individuals and families.
- Research – WIND conducts research to understand and assess the impact of programs on individuals with disabilities and to develop and implement best practices.
