Challenges are a great way to show your support. Be the first!
Thirty-seven percent of UW students report experiencing food insecurity each year. The UW Food Share Pantry wants to change that. Please consider contributing to the UW Food Share Pantry and help ensure that a student’s basic needs need not be overlooked at the expense of a degree.
The UW Food Share Pantry was created in 2020 and serves as food relief for university students and employees. It is a UW community effort based on an ethos of sharing—give what you can, when or if you can, and take what you need. This pantry began as a collaboration between the Dean of Students Office, ASUW, Laramie Interfaith, and the Sustainability Coalition. We have received generous support from ASUW but need your help in sustaining the pantry long-term.
Your support for this pantry will ensure that food-insecure students have the resources to not go hungry, to focus on their coursework, and to succeed in college.
How can you help?
- $7.25 covers one student meal and snack
- $25 covers the cost of a weekly meal bag for one student
- $125 provides one student with meals and hygiene products for a month
- $500 provides one student with meals and hygiene products for a full semester
If you are able, we ask that you please consider a monthly recurring donation as student need is ongoing.
More than 1 in 3 UW students are food insecure, and their stories often go untold. Help us continue to reduce the stigma surrounding food insecurity and address student needs in a manner that affirms dignity. Thank you for giving to the UW Food Share Pantry today. Your support helps ensure that every Poke is nourished!
