For 50 years, the University of Wyoming Family Medicine Residency Programs have helped shape the future of health care in Wyoming by training physicians who choose to stay, serve, and lead in the communities they call home.

Since 1976, more than 500 physicians have graduated from our Family Medicine Residency Programs, Geriatric Fellowship, and Rural Training Track. Today, program alumni care for patients in communities across Wyoming, from Cheyenne and Casper to Thermopolis, Buffalo, and Lander. Many have returned as faculty, mentors, and leaders, creating a lasting legacy of Wyoming physicians training the next generation of Wyoming physicians.

As we celebrate this milestone anniversary, we honor five decades of service, innovation, and commitment to improving the health of our communities.
