The world needs more curious, fair-minded, evidence-based, complexity-embracing, no-bull-accepting independent thinkers! At the University of Wyoming, we're helping students and faculty ask hard questions, follow the evidence, engage disagreement constructively, and think for themselves.
Our work is grounded in principles that have long mattered at UW and in Wyoming: freedom of thought, inquiry, and expression; intellectual independence; and respect for evidence, expertise, and constructive discourse.
Thanks to the generosity of donors, we are now able to do the following.
- Make dialogue facilitation training available to students and employees, building practical skills for navigating disagreement productively.
- Bring leading scholars to campus to engage the UW community on free speech, intellectual freedom, open inquiry, and constructive dialogue.
- Equip new students and faculty with training and resources that help them uphold academic integrity, engage competing ideas, and foster genuine scholarly inquiry in UW classrooms.
- Launch the Student Freedom Fellows program, giving student leaders the resources to design and lead programs that foster free expression, intellectual independence, and constructive disagreement among their peers.
Every gift to the Free Speech and Dialogue campaign helps give UW students something more precious than gold: the freedom, tools, and confidence to think and judge for themselves.
Wyoming moves forward when minds roam free. Thank you for helping make that possible!
