Wyoming School-University Partnership

Think of the teacher who changed your life. Now imagine every Wyoming student having one. That is the work of the Wyoming School-University Partnership: preparing and supporting the educators who shape Wyoming's future.

We are a statewide collaboration of public-school districts, community colleges, the University of Wyoming College of Arts and Sciences, the University of Wyoming College of Education, and state education organizations. Together, we work to improve teacher education and renew public schooling. Our purpose is to cultivate a dynamic and innovative partnership that raises the quality of teaching and learning in Wyoming's public education system.

That partnership comes to life through hands-on initiatives. In Voices in the Field, high school students in rural and frontier communities plan and run a professional career conference, earning dual college credit as they explore career pathways with higher education, state agency, and industry partners. On the Wyoming Classroom Connections Tour, UW College of Education students step inside Wyoming schools and see the communities they may one day serve. At the District Residency Connections Fair, they meet district leaders and find the right home for their student teaching residency. We are also building new initiatives to strengthen the educator recruitment pipeline, support mentor teachers and principals, and create feedback systems that help educators keep growing.
