SparkTank is where students lead and communities thrive. Make a direct impact on local nonprofits by supporting the University of Wyoming's SparkTank Initiative.
Each year, UW's Ethics Club, working hand in hand with Selling for Impact students, hosts SparkTank, a Shark Tank-style initiative that channels funding to Albany County nonprofits providing essential needs such as food, shelter, safety, clothing, and health care.
Since its inception in 2018, SparkTank has invested nearly $930,000 in local nonprofit organizations. Along the way, students gain invaluable hands-on experience as they evaluate proposals, raise funds, conduct due diligence, and ultimately decide how those resources can make the greatest impact in our community.
And the results speak for themselves. According to the University of Wyoming's Center for Business and Economic Analysis, SparkTank's investments have generated:
- $4.3 million in economic impact and
- nearly 40 new jobs.
Your support does more than provide funding. It helps develop the next generation of principled leaders while strengthening the economic and social fabric of Albany County.
As SparkTank celebrates its 10th year in 2027, we hope you will help us build on this remarkable momentum. Please consider making a charitable gift to SparkTank 2027. Thank you for investing in our students, our nonprofit partners, and our community.
