Department of Economics

The Department of Economics at the University of Wyoming teaches students to use data and evidence to solve real problems for Wyoming communities, businesses, and public agencies. Our graduates go on to careers in consulting, finance, energy, government, and graduate study, and many of the skills that set them apart are built through opportunities that reach beyond the classroom.

This Giving Day, your gift supports those opportunities. The Summer Undergraduate Research in Economics (SURE) program pairs undergraduates with faculty mentors to design a research question, collect and analyze data, and share their findings. Econ Help tutoring gives students support in core courses and in the quantitative tools employers expect, such as R and Tableau. Experiential learning with industry and state organizations lets students apply what they have learned to real questions facing our state.
