The Center for Business and Economic Analysis puts University of Wyoming research to work for the state. Since 2019, the center has provided economic forecasts, impact studies, data dashboards, and applied research that help Wyoming communities, businesses, and policymakers make informed decisions, from measuring the university's economic impact on the state to valuing local recreation areas.
Much of this work is done with help of UW students. As research assistants, students work side by side with the center's economists on real projects for real clients. They collect and analyze data, build models, and help communicate findings that inform decisions across Wyoming. It's experience that prepares students for careers in economics, data analytics, consulting, energy, and public policy.
This is Center for Business and Economic Analysis's first Giving Day, and your gift will help us expand these opportunities. Your support can fund student research positions, travel for students to present their work, and the tools and training that advances student's careers.
