For nearly 60 years, Kevin McKinney has been the voice and heartbeat of Wyoming Athletics.
A Cheyenne native and proud UW Journalism graduate (’71), McKinney has dedicated his life to telling the stories of the Cowboys and Cowgirls—from his early days as Sports Information Director to his familiar voice on radio broadcasts for Cowboy Football and Basketball. His impact on Wyoming Athletics and the field of sports media is unmatched, earning him honors such as Wyoming Sportscaster of the Year, multiple national journalism awards, and a lifetime achievement award from the Wyoming Athletics Hall of Fame.
