The Department of English honors Brad Watson by announcing the Brad Watson Creative Writing Fund. Brad Watson was a beloved professor at UW for 15 years. A founding member and former director of the MFA Program in Creative Writing, Brad mentored dozens of emerging writers.
This Giving Day 2026, your gift will support the Watson fund and UW Creative Writing students. Brad's storytelling legacy and generous mentoring will live through this fund for years to come. Your gift will support research, travel, and summer stipends for BA and MFA Creative Writing students.
Our goal for 2026 is 40 donors—40 donors will unlock an additional $5,000 for the fund!
