Wyoming is home to a spectacular array of plants and animals—some of which occur nowhere else but here! Species like Desert Yellowhead, Wyoming Pocket Gopher, and Western Glacier Stonefly are among the many unique and unsung treasures of Wyoming's natural heritage.
The Wyoming Natural Diversity Database (WYNDD) (https://www.uwyo.edu/wyndd/index.html) is the premier source of scientific information on the plants and animals of Wyoming, with emphasis on the rarest and most unique species. Your gift will help WYNDD gather critical information on these species in the field and make it available to the people who need it.
Our staff has a combined 140 years of experience researching Wyoming species and habitats, and we deliver actionable ecological information to more than 2,000 people in over 600 organizations throughout the region.
The best decisions about natural resources can be made only when everyone has access to accurate, current, and comprehensive information. Stakeholders requested information from WYNDD more than 80,000 times in the past three years, helping to integrate sound science into natural resource development, management, and conservation.
Your support helps put that science where it matters most: in the hands of people making decisions about Wyoming's natural resources.
