Science Initiative

We love STEM Engagement, and we hope you do too! The Programs of the Science Initiative have been engaging our Wyoming students and community members in a multitude of ways to foster a keen interest in STEM, a deep understanding of STEM, and student success in STEM endeavors here at UW and across the state.

Join us as we continue to grow the opportunities for students in K-12, members of our communities across Wyoming, and our students here at UW through our incredible signature programs.

The Science Initiative Roadshow travels across the state every year to share hands-on learning experiences, enriching the lives of Wyoming students and communities. The Learning Actively Mentoring Program transforms the experiences students receive in STEM courses throughout the UW curriculum, leading to greater academic success. The Course-based Undergraduate Research Experience Program is reshaping the undergraduate experience by bringing authentic research experiences to the classroom across all STEM disciplines. Finally, the Wyoming Research Scholars Program gives our undergraduate students unprecedented research experiences with our top STEM faculty across campus, with students often receiving a graduate level experience during their undergraduate career.
