About

Wyoming's big game migrations are an invaluable part of our natural heritage, and these animals need your help.

Your donation makes it possible for the Wyoming Migration Initiative's outreach team to share science-based solutions for sustaining Wyoming's big game migrations for generations to come.

This Giving Day we are raising funds to support our team in creating and sharing more excellent migration stories that have helped move conservation forward across Wyoming and the American West.

Your gift will help us create and share more award winning films, migration tracking on social media, books, maps, websites, presentations and other outreach.

This campaign will also support the creation of our new migration map gallery, which will be open to the public at a date TBA as part of our new headquarters in the historic Aven Nelson building at the University of Wyoming campus.

Following a record-breaking Giving Day in 2025, made possible by our amazing donors and supporters, we have raised our 2026 Giving Day goal to $65,000. We welcome your support from noon to noon on October 21-22 to seize the day and get us over the top.

MATCHING OPPORTUNITIES

Our longtime supporter the Knobloch Family Foundation has offered a 1:1 match of $10,000 that will go live at noon on Wednesday October 21.

Additionally, a second donor has offered another $10,000 matching gift that goes live at the same time. Together these matches with TRIPLE your impact, so be sure to give early to take advantage of this opportunity.

The Wyoming Migration Initiative is a growing team that plays a key role in advancing the science of Wyoming's amazing big game migrations. Since WMI launched in 2012, our researchers have collaborated with many state, national, and international partners to publish groundbreaking findings and beautiful migration maps. Every year, our outreach team raises its standards for production quality, consistently producing award-winning films and reaching millions of people on social media, all to advance public understanding and appreciation of Wyoming's big game migrations.

Thank you in advance for supporting Wyoming's amazing wildlife!
