As the Chemistry department continues to explore new frontiers in research, we are asking for your support of our students during Giving Day 2024.
Our mission is to provide students with training in both traditional and experience-based learning in the research lab. We are also establishing new programs in nuclear and rare earth element chemistry, further expanding our expertise and student-learning opportunities. Your gift will provide the students with an amazing educational and research experience during their time at UW. Here are two funds that your gift can support.
- Our Chemistry department fund supports undergraduate summer research projects, chemistry club activities, and travel to local and national conferences.
- Our graduate student fund provides fellowships and travel support to national and international conferences. Last year, we had 19 donors who gave more than $6,000, which helped us provide fellowships to recruit top students and to continue our graduate research poster session, and it supported students travel to several conferences including the Fall 2024 ACS meeting in Denver. This year we are hoping to reach a goal of 30 donors.
Thank you for your previous support! Go Pokes!
