The University of Wyoming’s Department of Molecular Biology and Microbiology provides students with the education and research experience needed to excel in biological research and biotechnology.

Research in the department is world class and cutting edge. It is focused on understanding biology at the molecular level and has applications ranging from the development of more efficient bioreactors, to improved preservation of vaccines and other drugs, to the discovery and design of new medicines to combat cancer and other diseases.
