Larry Kern Memorial Fund

Father Larry Kern played a key role in supporting the basketball career of his daughter, Katie Kern, as a player at New Mexico and then a coach at UW. This excellence fund honors that amazing relationship with support for the Wyoming Women’s Basketball team and coaches. Katie was UW assistant women's basketball coach and now serves as senior director of development for the UW Foundation.

Larry Kern’s infectious laughter and unwavering generosity were hallmarks of his character. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome and valued and left an indelible mark on all who crossed his path. His favorite pastime was welcoming friends and neighbors to his beloved shop with a heartfelt, “Happy Day!"
