About🤠

The University of Wyoming is known the world around through our students and faculty. Help UW students engage internationally through research and study, help welcome international students to UW, and help keep our faculty and students active as thought leaders bringing Wyoming research to partners around the world.

The Center for Global Studies supports students, faculty, communities, and businesses in generating internationally engaged research, teaching, and program opportunities. Our featured initiative this year is the new Centennial Endowment to support student research overseas. This endowment, developed as part of our tenth anniversary in partnership with the Centennial Speaker Series, will allow us to support students’ international research in perpetuity. See the dropdown menu for other funds that support CGS goals.

International Students and Scholars is the main campus resource for providing programs and services to international students at UW that assist them in adjusting to a new university, community, country, and culture. Our featured initiative is the International Student Emergency Fund. Donations to this fund support students in need during unexpected and expensive emergency situations, allowing them to better thrive at UW.

Education Abroad offers and advises on study abroad, exchange, research, and academic internship opportunities for UW undergraduate and graduate students. Our featured initiatives include the Passport Support for Education Abroad and the Richard B. and Lynne V. Cheney Study-Abroad Scholarship. Supporting Education Abroad means supporting students in engaging in global learning opportunities, which prepares them for success in an increasingly interconnected world.

The Global Engagement Office is the parent office to all of our units. It provides institutional leadership in shaping, supporting, and pursuing UW’s goals for advancing comprehensive internationalization. Our featured global initiatives include the UW International Programs Endowment and the Global Engagement Discretionary Fund. Donating to these funds supports our vision of a Wyoming community that engages, thrives, and leads in an interconnected and interdependent global society.

Other global funds are accessible through the search bar and in the full list of funds on the main Giving Day pages.

Thank you for supporting UW as a global university!
