About

Wyoming Wool Initiative's mission is to celebrate and expand the sheep industry. Giving Day donations will go directly to student and producer programming and sheep industry research.

Your donation will help fund specialized academic and hands-on experiences preparing students to enter the sheep and wool industry as well as targeted programming focused on improving production and marketing opportunities for producers.

The College of Agriculture, Life Sciences, and Natural Resources will match donations dollar-for-dollar, doubling your impact, up to $1,000.

Wyoming Wool Initiative currently raises funds through entrepreneurial and fundraising efforts.

Last year, our pilot program, the Wyoming Blanket Project, raised enough proceeds:

to fund summer internships in wool processing and manufacturing,
to reinvest in high-performance manufacturing equipment to be utilized for teaching, research, and a manufacturing partnership with Mountain-Meadow Wool, and
to implement feasibility studies address industry concerns and offer innovative solutions.
