About

Greetings! My name is Dr. Cecilia Aragón, and I go by CC. I am the Executive Director for the Wyoming Latina Youth Center and Conference. I am originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico. I am a full professor here at UW.

I was a first-generation college-bound student and the first in my family to ever go to college, and my fondest memories of college are the people that offered me educational opportunities and helped me financially to achieve my goal of receiving a college education. I am grateful to the many wonderful and generous people out there in the world that helped me along my way to achieve my dream.

My job here at Wyoming Latina Youth Center and Conference is to pass along the dream of achieving academic success for young Latinas. There are many Latinas in the state of Wyoming that dream of going to college at UW. Many face financial challenges and roadblocks. Wyoming Latina Youth Center and Conference offers young Latinas from 5th to 12th grade an opportunity to see what their dreams can look like at UW by attending the conference. Many need help with costs of lodging, registration, and food.
