About

The purpose of UW's Ethics Club is to promote ethical thinking in the developing character and conscience of students. The club accomplishes this in a number of ways, including its annual SparkTank event.

SparkTank has two primary purposes: 1) to provide the “spark” that helps local nonprofits fulfill their missions and 2) to “spark” a sense of service and philanthropy within Wyoming’s next generation of business and community leaders.

Since 2018, the Ethics Club has distributed $240,000 to local nonprofits, including an amazing $115,000 last year to My Front Door ($45,000), Albany County Safe Project ($35,000), Cathedral Home ($20,000), and Healthy Kids Rx ($15,000).

This fall, a new set of nonprofits will be nominated to participate in SparkTank 2023, which will be held on April 27. To be eligible, nonprofits must provide essential services, such as food, shelter, safety, clothing. Finalists will be selected based on their community impact, commitment to the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative Principles, and proposed use of funding.

Thank you for considering a charitable gift to support future generations of ethical business and community leaders in Wyoming and beyond!
