Please consider supporting the Society of Women Engineers and help us promote engineering professions to young women and diversify the engineering field!
The Society of Women Engineers is a student-run Registered Student Organization at the University of Wyoming. Our goals include
encouraging young women to pursue an engineering education and supporting women in engineering fields. We hold bi-weekly meetings with visits from engineers who are women from different companies. They talk about their experiences and the company they work for.
In addition, a group of us go to the national the Society of Women Engineers conference each year. The national conference gives students a chance to participate in workshops promoting women in engineering and a job fair to apply for internships and post-graduation jobs. In addition, for young women considering an engineering career, we provide a women's engineering conference (WomEngineering). This conference includes workshops displaying the different engineering fields available.
For the Society of Women Engineers to continue to offer these opportunities, we are asking for your support. With your help, we can send more collegiate members to the national conference, and we can host more young women to come to our WomEngineering conference, encouraging them to pursue an engineering education.
These events are vital to encourage a more inclusive and diverse workforce in the engineering field. Please consider supporting it, and we thank you!
