When you support the Paul Schwieger Memorial Student Enrichment Fund, you support undergraduate and graduate student professional development, extracurricular activities such as study abroad experiences and externships, or other opportunities that would complement a student’s academic experience.
Your contribution helps to expand students' horizons, develop creative thinking and problem-solving skills, and challenge their imagination in a variety of engineering fields. Help us to honor the legacy of Paul and inspire the next generation of engineers, who exemplify his resilience, hardworking, and humble character.
Paul Schwieger was born in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, in 1938. He moved to Wyoming in 1960, where he began a 32-year career with the State of Wyoming.
Paul always valued the importance of learning, hard work, and resilience. He spoke often of his love for Wyoming and how much he appreciated what the state afforded him the opportunity to do in life. Paul passed away in May 2021 but, in Paul's own words, "it was a great ride."
Thank you for supporting this fund in Paul's honor!
Your gift will be matched dollar for dollar to the Student Enrichment Fund when the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences raises $50K on UW Giving Day.
