Mathematics and statistics play a key role in many professions, everything from genetic engineering to data science to biomedical research and much more. These disciplines are key to academic and professional success. Not only that, but students in math and statistics develop the ability to think creatively, critically, strategically, and logically, to stay organized, and to communicate clearly.
The math and statistics Wranglers will use these funds to visit high schools in the state and talk about opportunities in higher education in mathematics, statistics, and data science.
