About
Please consider supporting the important legacy of Lucinda Phillips.
We are working to establish an endowed faculty fellowship for the establishment of the Lucinda "Lucy" Phillips Fellow. Lucinda was an ex-slave from Kentucky who came to Cheyenne in the 1860s and helped to establish the African Methodist Episcopal Church. We are working to spread her story and to establish opportunities for other junior faculty to come and share their expertise in as part of the Honors College, Women Studies, Religion and Philosophy, and/or Theatre and Dance.
