University of Wyoming students are known for their work ethic and determination. In the field of economics, those are two qualities desperately needed in the future economists we are striving to develop. As economics students take challenging courses with complex concepts and robust software, we must match their hard work with equal support.
Whether learning to program in R, scripting in Python, or developing pivot tables in Excel, every student deserves resources to help them overcome the small hurdles in our curriculum that will have a big impact in our industry.
The Economics department at UW aims to enhance tutoring support, specifically on the technical side, to ensure that every student has the chance to be a phenomenal economist. We envision this program incorporating undergraduate and graduate students mentoring each other, not only allowing students to improve in this subject matter but also for the students tutoring to gain a deeper understanding of the tools we use.
Today, as economists seeing the importance of these tools in industry, we ask that you join us in building on the already successful model of ECONhelp tutoring service with your big give.
