About
The Department of Geology and Geophysics has a long and respected history in Wyoming, and we know much of our success is thanks to the generosity of our donors and alumni.
Here are a few upcoming activities where we would appreciate your support.
- The 100th Anniversary of our Geology and Geophysics Field Camp! Mark your calendars—the 2023 Field Camp marks a remarkable full century of field training at UW! Stay tuned for opportunities to join us in the field this summer!
- Geology by Water: A Rafting Trip through the Grand Canyon. Want to join us on the Colorado River to experience one of the greatest natural wonders of the world? With enough support, we can make this happen, so please consider joining us for a trip through time!
- The Don Boyd Ancient Wyoming Seas Exhibit. Chase Studios is designing an exhibit in honor of Dr. Boyd, which we hope to complete by spring 2024. We’ll keep you posted on the progress!
On behalf of the Department of Geology and Geophysics, we would like to thank you many times over for your support of our program, which goes a long way towards improving the student experience here at UW. Thank you!
