For the third year in a row, law school applications are on the rise as the pandemic slows and events in Washington, DC spark renewed interest in the law field. Student debt load and job placement are important aspects of this trend as applicants target law schools offering more scholarship assistance to ease the financial burden of going back to school.
The University of Wyoming College of Law has experienced an uptick in applications this cycle, but its size and capacity to offer scholarship assistance is much less than our peer institutions in the Rocky Mountain region.
To maintain our status as one of the most affordable, best value law schools in the nation, we need your help! It is critical that we raise more scholarship dollars to be able to recruit quality students to UW. Most other law schools in the region are twice our size and have twice the endowment to fund scholarships for their incoming law classes. We can only offer a fraction of the amount these schools offer in scholarship aid, and this has a direct impact on enrollment, rankings, and the quality of legal education. We need more support to remain competitive.
