About

Your support of the campus recreation campaigns could help these three things:

  • The Wellness Center offers programs including Puppy Play Dates, Kitty Cuddle Times, Free Fruit Friday, Smoothie Bike, Massage Chairs, Athletic Training, Meditation and Mindfulness trainings, and Mental Health First Aid trainings for students and staff. These programs help to foster a culture of wellness and contribute to a healthy campus community. Your donation will help us to continue to improve our services and support student wellness!
  • As the Outdoor Program, we not only want to provide outdoor opportunities for students but want to ensure that people can access the outdoors with the proper gear to make their experience safe and comfortable. Because students do not always have access to warm puffy jackets during the cold months, rain gear to stay active in the mountain climate, or sturdy hiking boots that can handle the rocky trails, the Outdoor Program would like to purchase these items for students to use on our trips for free and to also rent out for nominal costs. Please donate to our fund to help us purchase these items.
  • Campus Recreation fund provides opportunities to bring in speakers for our students, to support student certifications in their areas of expertise, and to support students attending regional and national conferences. This creates an environment that supports student growth and continued learning to better not only Campus Recreation but UW as a whole. Investing in the development of our student employees is critical to the continued growth of our students and the pursuit of being a leader within collegiate recreation. A new way Campus Recreation is using the student development fund is by providing a stipend to our student employees who become certified in Mental Health First Aid, a training we provide through our Wellness Center.

Thank you for considering supporting Campus Recreation!
