Over 46% of all University of Wyoming students experience some level of food insecurity, and that’s not okay with us. As an institution of higher education, we strive to provide our students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the world but, as one of our students put it, “Students can’t give their best effort in their schooling if they do not have adequate access to food.”

The UW Food Share Pantry is a resource for our campus community to ensure that no Poke goes hungry. We started off as a small operation and have continued to grow year after year. We saw a 38% increase in 2023 compared to the previous year in the number of those served, and we are grateful that we can be here to help serve our community when they need it most.

What impact does your donation have at the UW Food Share Pantry?

• $3 provides one meal to one visitor
• $10 provides a whole day of food for one visitor.
• $25 supplements a week of food for one visitor.
• $125 supplements a whole month of food for one visitor.
• $500 supplements one semester of food for one visitor.

In addition to food, the UW Food Share Pantry now also provides hygiene, household, and baby products to its visitors. Here’s the impact your donation has in this area.

• $20 provides one month of menstrual products for one visitor.
• $175 covers the annual cost of household cleaning supplies for one visitor.
• $360 provides one year of hygiene products for one visitor.
• $850 covers the annual cost of diapers for the child of one visitor.

Funds raised during this campaign will be used to purchase the food and personal items that we provide at the pantry. In addition to supporting the food pantry, your contribution will help keep our campus community nourished by strengthening all of our food security efforts at UW.
